Ethel Yvonne Carlson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel Yvonne Carlson of Wapello, Iowa, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Gerst and Pauline Gerst (Howe); her husband Fred; her siblings, Joanne Malone, George Jr. Gerst (Bubby), Jacqueline and Joyce Gerst; and her great grandchild Tyson Collett.
She is survived by: her children, Carrie Hansford (Lonny) of Letts, Craig Carlson (Tammy) of Cairo, Kent Carlson of Wapello, Cory Carlson (Nancy) of Morning Sun, Kevin Carlson of Wapello and Kurt Carlson of Wapello; and her siblings, Gary Gerst (Janet) of Columbus Junction, Cathy Eaton of Winfield and Beth Prior (Mike) of Winfield. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for 4-H at the Louisa County Fair.
