She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Bob" McKinney and Helen Maxine McKinney (Earnest); her husband Tom Johnston; her in-laws, Clem and Wilma Johnston; her sister Julie Jacobs (Dave); and her nephew Scott Keltner.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Johnston (Shelly) of Burlington and Tami Kerr (Brad) of Florida; her grandchildren, Zak Kerr (Jenn), Alex Kerr, Kyla Johnston and Tyler Johnston; her great grandchildren, Brooks, Boston and Baylor Kerr; and her brother David McKinney (Joellyn) of Wapello.
A memorial has been established for the Wapello Fire Department and the Wapello Ambulance.
