Leota Schaper Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 28, 2025, at the age of 91, Leota Schaper (Wapello, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Harl and Helen Jones Harl; her husband Dwight Schaper; her brothers, Basil, Doug Harl and Kenneth Walsinger; and her sons-in-law, Marvin McCulley and David Farnsworth.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Bonnichsen, Sue Thomas (Bruce), Betty Jo Farnsworth and Kevin Schaper (Teresa); her grandchildren, Megan, Meredith, Alex, Jenna, Trevor, Kraig, Taylor, Lauryn, Jordyn and Sydney; her brother Winston Harl (Joelean); her cousin Gerald Lee Peck; and her sisters-in-law, Valeen Ziegenhorn and Tena Harl. She is also survived by her loving children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisa County Historical Society, or the Church of the Nazarene in Wapello, Iowa.
