It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alberta M. Miller of Washington, Iowa, who passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Smith and Florence Smith (Baker); her husband Merle F. Miller; and her siblings, Ireta Janecek and Donald Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Doug Miller (Brooksie) of Maxwell, Jeryl McArtor (Ron) of Winfield and Dwight Miller (Michelle) of Ainsworth, Iowa.; her grandchildren, Tammy, Jalene, Derek, Ryan, Jason, Joni, Alexa and Nicole; and her sister Fran Darbyshire of Washington, Iowa.. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.

Bertie volunteered as an election poll worker for many years, assisted with the American Cancer Society, helping to establish the program in Washington, and participated in Washington County Relay for Life.
