He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Kelly and Loyce Kelly (Smoot); his brother Mike; and his stepfather Harvey Jeffrey. He is survived by: his sisters, Karen Brimhall (Steven) of Mount Pleasant and Candace Huber (Bruce) of Danville; Julie Kelly Johnson (Eddie) of New London. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
