With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Edward Hanson of Washington, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 12, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Mansfield and Sylvia Beatrice Hanson (Hesseltine); his wife Delores Hanson; and his siblings, Irwin Hanson and Beatrice May Hanson.
He is survived by: his children, Roxanne Hanson of Aledo, Illinois, Russell Hanson (Dawn) of Moline, Illinois, Rhonda Kinney of Moline, Illinois, Rodney Hanson of Rock Island, Illinois and Rex Hanson (Kathy) of Rock Island, Illinois; and his siblings, Elzina Miller of Washington, Iowa, Clarence Hanson (Pat) of Washington, Iowa, Jim Hanson of Vancouver, Washington and Joyce Crumley (Jack) of Washington, Iowa.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
