He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Frederick and Orpha Mae Gugel (Yoder); and his nephew Shaun. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his children, Lynn Neff of Fairfield, Iowa, Angela Kempf (Kenny) of Wayland, Iowa, Maryjo Rich (Matt) of Washington, Iowa and Wendi Neff Ulin (Michael) of Washington, Iowa; his grandchild Morgan Kaufman (Nick) of Harlan, Iowa; his children, Mason Rich (Haley) of Washington, Iowa, Makenna Rich (Koltyn Niles) of Muscatine, Iowa, Amiah Neff of Fairfield, Iowa, Aidan and Alec Ulin of Washington, Iowa; his great grandchild Brewer Kaufman of Harlan, Iowa.; his brothers, Duane Gugel (Karen) of Kalona and Dave Gugel (Julie) of Wauseon, Ohio; and his stepmother Lois Gugel of Kalona, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home (116 E Main St, Washington, IA 52353).
