With sadness, we share the passing of Eva Catherine Gallagher of Washington, Iowa. Eva, born on February 22, 1932, passed away on October 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Everett and Clara Reda Maggart (Hartzler); her husband Bill; her sisters, Virginia Haggy, Ialene Darr and Evelyn Lucille Maggart; and her nieces, Marilyn Sinnock and Carolyn Hill.
She is survived by: her son Ronald "Ron" Gallagher (Robin) of Washington, Iowa; and her brother Rev. Vernon Maggart (Neta) of St. Jospeh, Missouri..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home (116 E Main St, Washington, IA 52353). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Faith Baptist Church or Hospice Compassus.
