With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LaVerne Zieglowsky of Washington, Iowa, who passed away on November 30, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cloyce Clinton and Myrtle Maxine Zieglowsky (Churchill); his son Russell Zieglowsky; and his siblings, Eugene Zieglowsky (Elizabeth), Joyce Zieglowsky and Audrey Maxine Zieglowsky.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Zieglowsky of Washington; his children, Stephanie Bare (John) of Newton, Iowa and Tadd Zieglowsky of Washington, Iowa; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Nathaleen, Katelyn Zieglowsky, Shelby, Alex Bare, Ethan, Caleb, Mitchell Zieglowsky and Austin Lee. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home (116 E Main St, Washington, IA 52353). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (122 E 2nd St, Washington, IA 52353).
