He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Peiffer and Mary Peiffer (Sanders); his siblings, Celeste Hora and William Nicholas Peiffer; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Ledger, Loren Wagner, Robert Greiner and Hobart Jackson.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Nancy Wrage; his children, Jay Peiffer (Cindy) of Riverside, Iowa, Michael Peiffer of Florida, Jane Peiffer of Tonapah, Arizona and RaeAnne Peiffer (Gabe Birdnow) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Matthew Peiffer, Ethan Peiffer Salladay, Madeline Peiffer, Jack Peiffer, Annabelle Peiffer, Christopher Peiffer Birdnow, Ryker Birdnow and Logan Peiffer Birdnow; his siblings, Mary Ann Drish (Leonard), Margaret Ledger, Rosalita Wagner, Frances Greiner, Marlene Jackson, Jim Peiffer (Angie), Rita Beauchamp (Glenn), Annette Manthei (Randy) and Don Peiffer (Lorie); and his brother-in-law Keith Hora. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. James Catholic Church (602 W 2nd St, Washington, IA 52353). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
