She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur Martens and Rose Martens (Cave); her husband James Laing; her grandson John Schooley; and her sister Betty Jane Christiansen.
She is survived by : her children, Laurie Schooley (Wayne) of Bloomfield, IA, Wendy Adam (Edward) of Washington, IA and Jeff Laing (Susan) of Mexico; her granddaughter Holly Milford of Independence, MO; her children, Luke Schooley (Fawn) of Bloomfield, IA, Hayley Blackmon (Derick) of Mesa, AZ and Myriah Bonsall (David) of Phoenix, AZ; and her siblings, Yvonne Severyn, Amy West and Jim Martens. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
