We are sad to announce that, on June 15, 2025, at the age of 69, Susan Byerly of Washington, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Susan may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Vogel and Rita Vogel (Weber); her brothers, Gary Vogel and Dan "Weasel" Vogel; and her nephew Chris Vogel.
She is survived by: her husband Alan Byerly of Washington; her siblings, Elaine Finley (Dean) of Winthrop, Patrick Vogel (Robyn) of Keota and Mary Vogel of Keota; and her great-nephews, Zeno and Zander Vogel.
A memorial fund has been established for Essence of Life Hospice.
