For William J. is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Long and Pauline Long (Snyder); his brother Robert Long; and his stepdaughter Mindy Shaw. He is survived by: his wife Cynthea Long of Washington, Iowa; his son Michael Long (Kathy) of Florida; and his stepdaughters, Teri Chick of Washington, Iowa and Lesa O'Connell of Muscatine, Iowa. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
