With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Smith of Waterloo, Iowa, born in Durant, Mississippi, who passed away on March 26, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Ludie Sr. Smith and Fannie Cuntliffe Smith; his daughter Charlene Ferguson; and his siblings, Ludie Jr., Lanier Smith, Virgis Lenora Stigler and Delteric Wheeler.
He is survived by : his daughters, Evelyn Jordan of Rockford, IL, Patricia Marshall of Rockford, IL and Sylvia Lumpkins (Gerald) of Rockford, IL; and his son-in-law George Ferguson of LaJunta, CO. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
