He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gorman Sr. and Bernadine Driscoll Gorman; his stepfather Claude Hixenbaugh; his brother Ed Gorman Jr.; his nephew Ben Sufficool; his father-in-law Jim Chapman; and his brother-in-law Bob Chapman.

He is survived by: his wife Dori Chapman of Waterloo; his children, Brendan Gorman (Anna) of San Angelo, TX, Elona Gorman of Waterloo and Jace Gorman of Waterloo; his sister Julie Lawrence (Lynn) of Hiawatha; his sisters-in-law, Cindy Duggan of Waterloo and Carol Gorman; his mother-in-law Donna Chapman of Waterloo; and his pet Shiloh. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
