We announce the death of David C. Deike in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Deike and Alice Deike (Capps); and his daughter Melissa Deike. He is survived by: his wife Mary Nikolas; his children, Michelle Schutt (Clayton), James Deike (Sara) and Alex Deike; and his grandchildren, Gwendolyn Schutt, Vivian Schutt, Gabriel Schutt, Logan Deike and Claire Deike.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church (611 Sherman Ave, Ackley, IA 50601). A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
