He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Schoepske and Martha Schoepske; his wife Darlene Chase; and his son-in-law Dana Walker. He is survived by: his children, Michael Schoepske (Connie) of Strafford, Missouri, Timothy Schoepske (Kay) of Waterloo, Iowa, Sandy Walker of Waterloo, Iowa and Debbie Andreassen (Brad) of Lakeland, Minnesota.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
