He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hoth and Angela King Hoth; his son David Hoth; his siblings, Richard Hoth and Judy Seifert; his father-in-law Orville Mauer; and his sister-in-law Jacque Mauer.

He is survived by: his wife Julie Koch-Hoth; his son John Hoth; his daughter-in-law Kathy Sweeney-Hoth; his stepchildren, Caitlin Boyd (David) and Eric Koch; his siblings-in-law, Scot Mauer, Jay Mauer (Vicki), Andy Mauer (Gail), Nick Mauer (Kelly) and Jackie Doyle (Chris); and his mother-in-law Mary Mauer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
