She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Bird and Eathyl White Bird; her spouse Verlin Crook; her children, Steven, David Crook and Mary Rhoads; and her siblings, Jesse, Donald, Leonard, Harold, Bob Bird and Alice Cannon.

She is survived by: her son Dan Crook (Diana) of Waterloo; and her children-in-law, Jim Rhoads (Lori) of Cedar Falls and Stephanie Crook of Waterloo. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
