We bid farewell to Hazel Lantz (Waterloo, Iowa), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 21, 2025 at the age of 95. Hazel touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Sanderson and Sigrid Jerdee Sanderson; her husband William D. Lantz; and her siblings, Arlene Kanellis, Kenneth Sanderson, Janice Ohm, Allan Sanderson, Carmen Sanderson and Richard Sanderson.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Thompson (Dave) of Waterloo, Carole Lefevre, Timothy Lantz of Winter Park, FL and James Lantz of Waterloo; and her sister JoAnn Johnson of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Locke Garden View Chapel (3655 Logan Ave, Waterloo, IA 50703).
Memorials should be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society, 1166 W Airline Hwy, Waterloo.
