He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Hennessey and Loreen Casey Hennessey; and his brothers, Bill, Richard and Robert Hennessey.
He is survived by: his wife Dora Ann Quinn; his daughter Sheila Hennessey of Marion; his granddaughters, Julia and Charlotte Gilkey of Minneapolis, Minn.; and his siblings, Mary Ellen Hennessey of Phoenix, Ariz., John of Phoenix, Ariz., Patrick of Phoenix, Ariz. and Michael Hennessey (Patty) of Phoenix, Ariz..
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Edward Catholic Church (1423 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701).
