It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Mather of Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Mather and Effie Mather (Walters); his wife Rebecca Jane Roof; his sister Mary Anne; and his former wife Patricia Corsello.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Mather (Dana), Michelle Mather of Rogers, AR and Ben Mather (Kristen) of Cedar Falls; his stepdaughter Regan Bishop (Bart); his grandchildren, Dominic and Kenley Mather; his stepgrandchildren, Abby Vanderman, Jesse Bishop and Jayden Bishop; and his brother Curtis Mather (Linda).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tower Park (4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
