He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Hank" Springer and Nora Springer; his siblings, JoAnn Schares and Jack Springer; his brother-in-law Dale Venter; and his great grandchildren, Emmitt and Edgar Earhart.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Brooke, Shannon Meyers and Lori Evans (Mitchell); his stepsons, Bret Hardy (Mo) and Aaron McCool; his brother Jerry Springer; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Sue Venter, Laurie Venter, Pat Huting and Carol Gatewood (Ron). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Garden (1927 E Orange Rd, Waterloo, IA 50701). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amvets Post (706 Colleen Ave, Evansdale, IA 50707).
