It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean Barrett of Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rueben Bauman and Hattie Gadow Bauman; and her siblings, Art, Donald, Harvey, Roger Bauman, Harriet Angen Smith, Lucille Cordova, Ruth Wagner, Betty Bauman and Shirley Dale.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Barrett (Nancy) of Waterloo, Rick Barrett (Cindy) of Waterloo, Jody Juhl (Robert) of Waterloo, Nancy Smith (George) of Waterloo and Tom Barrett of Washburn. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren. 16 great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Tower Park (4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at the Memories Cemetery.
Memorial contributions should be directed to the Friendship Village Foundation.
