He was predeceased by: his parents, Tillman Bentley and Emma Bentley; and his siblings, E. C. Webb, R. U. Bentley and Carolyn Bentley Tollefson.
He is survived by: his wife Debra (Powers) of Waterloo; his siblings, Kenneth Bentley of Des Moines, Timothy Bentley (Joann) of Des Moines, Joyce Gardner (Twigg) of Waterloo, Annie Bentley Butler of Waterloo and Cora; and his brother-in-law Ron Turner of Waterloo.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parrott and Wood Funeral Home (965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, IA 50701).
