He was predeceased by: his father Wayne Rice; and his grandparents, Lloyd, Lucy Ogle, Richard and Inez Rice.
He is survived by: his mother Loretta Rice (Ogle) of Waterloo; his children, Jonathon of Hudson, Shelby of Hudson and Adeline of Wisconsin; and his sister Amanda Poyner (Wade) of Hudson. He is also survived by three nieces; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
