It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Eveland of Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Eveland and Janie Eveland (Sands). He is survived by: his wife Dianne Eveland of Waterloo; his daughter Tara Eveland (Nick Shields) of San Diego, CA; his stepchildren, Teresa Strayer (Bert) of Hudson and Todd Armstrong (Abby) of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Amanda, Samuel, Stela, Isaiah, Ami (Gabe), Yvenson, Evie and Isabella; his great grandchildren, Yazmin and Aveena; his sister Susan Kerr (Bob) of Plano, TX; and his nephews, Eric Kerr and Russell Kerr (Sandra).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (1301 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50702).
