She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Koester and Marie Koester (Prihoda); her husband Howard R. Mauer; her siblings, Joyce, Michael and Tom; and her daughter Gail Roeding.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Kajewski (Robert) of Dunkerton and Dawn Olmstead (Randy) of Ankeny; her sisters, Mary Hammes of Rochester and Terryl Finbraaten of Austin, Minnesota; and her son-in-law Michael Roeding. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (650 Stephan Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
