She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis C. Klein and Helen Klein (McGarvey); her husband Ferdinand "Fritz" Schaefer; her daughter Alice White; her siblings, Margaret Edsill, Alice Klein, Monica Loftus, Dorothy Kressig, Rosemary Schaefer, Dan and Pat Klein; and her great grandchild Piper Schaefer.
She is survived by: her family Buckingham; her children, Gene Schaefer (Carla) of Gilbert, Phil Schaefer (Pam) of Asbury and Sue McLean (Pat) of Traer; her grandchildren, Randy White (Joy), Greg White (Veronica), Kim Stone, Erin Hays (Wes), Lindsey Schaefer, Ashley Hines (Kenton), Chelsey Schaefer, Melissa Schaefer (Shawn Ruff), Dan Schaefer (Kristin), Emily Stalzer (Ross), Shane Krafka (Bailey), Ryan McLean and Rylee McLean; her sister Wilma "Billie" Hildman Gilbert; and her son-in-law Larry White of Waterloo. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren.
