He is survived by: his wife Barbara Rinker Rogers of Waterloo; his children, Niki Poe (Michael) of Cedar Falls, Angie Coffin of Cedar Falls and Chad Coffin (Karen) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his stepsons, James Brucher of Annandale, David Brucher (Denise) of Palo and Kenneth Brucher of Waterloo; and his siblings, Greg Coffin (Joan) of Cedar Falls, Steve Coffin (Brenda) of Ankeny, Edward Mulgrew (Rosalie) of Las Cruces, N. M, Marilyn Kniss of Ankeny, Beverly Anders (Jim) of Grand Island, Neb, Karen Schultz (Terry) of The Villages, Fla and Janet Padden (Larry) of Waterloo. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
