With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Herbert Simmons (Waterloo, Iowa), who passed away on November 29, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Simmons and Dorothy Simmons (Munson); his wife Donnie McCarter; his brother Darwin Simmons; and his sister-in-law Mary McCarter.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Simmons of Ft. Dodge, Kris Eiklenborg of Waterloo and Shelly Anderson-Harrison (Jim) of Ft. Dodge; his grandchildren, Ryon Eiklenborg (Meghan) of Readlyn, Zachary Anderson (Becca) of Ft. Dodge and Cooper Anderson (Courtney) of Ft. Dodge; his great grandchildren, Mason, Tristan, Issabella, Josephine and Kinsley; his sister Lois Gleason (Merle) of Waterloo; and his siblings-in-law, John McCarter of Dike, Cathy Brown (Ron) of Cedar Falls and Nancy Judas (Dave Zien) of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
