She is survived by: her significant other Nicholas Purdy of Gilbertville; her children, Deann Purdy of Gilbertville, Kent Purdy (Michelle) of Cedar Falls, Brad Purdy (Kristi) of Cedar Falls and Troy Purdy (Sheri) of Raymond, Iowa; her grandchildren, Emma Purdy, Alex Purdy, Ben Purdy (Taylor), Katie Purdy, Logan Purdy (Alyssa), Kaylee Bardal (Brandon), Sydney Bruggeman (Kaleb) and Jack Purdy; her great grandchildren, Charlee Sietsema, Jayce Sietsema, Hexley Purdy and Skylar Bruggeman; her siblings, Patricia Becker (Richard) of Jesup, Constance Keegan (Richard) and Kenneth Schmit of Gilbertville; and her sister-in-law Linda Schmit of Jesup.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (311 15th Ave, Gilbertville, IA 50634). A vigil service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Bosco School System, Gilbertville Fire Department, and Cedar Valley Hospice.
