Loren Steimel Obituary
In loving memory of Loren Steimel of Waterloo, Iowa, who departed this world on July 1, 2025 at the age of 88. Loren leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Steimel and Clara Bauler Steimel; his wife Ruth Fenelon of Mary's Catholic Church; his great grandchildren, Vincent Roche and Hayes Petersen; and his siblings, Winifred Fischels, Francis, Lewis and Melvin Steimel.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Munchoff (Bill) of Waterloo, David Steimel (Lisa) of Fairfax, Lori Tritle (Clay) of Alburnett, Michelle Weisser (Pete) of Rapid City, SD and Lee Ann Platt (Tim) of Clive. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Tower Park (4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (1435 E Eagle Rd, Waterloo, IA 50701).
