With solemn reverence, we commemorate Marlin R. Nichols of Waterloo, Iowa, whose life came to an end on April 27, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Glen Nichols and Geneva Ohloff Nichols; his wife Diane Davis; his siblings, Lores, Ronald, Gerald, John Nichols and JoAnn Chase; his siblings-in-law, Arlita Nichols, Jackie Davis, Steve Gehrke and Jim Larson; his nephew Larry Nichols; and his niece Lindsay Nichols.

He is survived by : his close friend Becky Vauthier; his children, Michelle Folkerts (Bob) of Allison, David Nichols (Morgan) of Waterloo and Rhonda Chiattello (Mark) of Cedar Falls; his siblings, Robert Nichols (Roberta) of Evansdale, William Nichols (Mary) of Evansdale, Glenda Larson of Cedar Falls and Cathy Sheeley (Doug) of Waterloo; his siblings-in-law, Jurly Nichols of Evansdale, Betty Nichols of Mason City, Norma Nichols, Leland Davis (Vickie) and Don Davis; and his great grandchild Casey Nichols. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Tower Park (4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at the Memories Cemetery.
