With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Max Kriz of Waterloo, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 14, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Kriz and Marion Kriz (Eckhardt); his wife Joan C. Weed; his son Michael Kriz; and his sisters, Lizzy Barge and Peggy Bradley.

He is survived by: his son Jeff Kriz of Waterloo; his daughters-in-law, Lisa Kriz of Waterloo and Amy Kriz of Cedar Rapids; and his grandchildren, Joshua Kriz (Laura), Chad Kriz (Kate), Brittni Bates (Torri), Miranda Brown (Travis) and Patrick Kriz. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
