She was predeceased by: her parents, Clement Hannan and Margaret Oakes Hannan; her husband George L. Smith; her son Michael Smith; her siblings, Wayne (Pat), David, Jim (Vir), Joe (Debbie), Richard, Elaine (Nick), Marge, Kay, Karen (Bob) and Jan; and her parents-in-law, Louis and Anna Smith.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, April Muller (Ryan) of Janesville and Anna Beck (John) of Waterloo; her great grandchildren, Hailey Russell (Ben) of Waterloo, Mitchell Paeper (Kloe) of Cedar Falls, Maddie Rice (Blake) of Waterloo and Sophia Muller of Janesville; her great great grandchildren, Jameson Russell, Gracie Rice, Lakelynn Rice, Oaklynn Rice and Haven Paeper; her daughter-in-law Debra Dodds of Waterloo; and her sister-in-law Linda Hannan of Independence. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
