She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Izer and Norma Crosby Izer; her brother Jerry Crosby; and her close friend Phil Suggs, Sr.. She is survived by: her boyfriend Phil Suggs Jr. of Waterloo; her children, Joshua Izer of Spencer, Ryan Russell of Spencer and Sarah Russell of Ankeny; her siblings, Robert Izer (Sandy) of Tingley, Teresa (David Warner) of Waterloo and Michael Izer (Christina) of Cedar Falls; and her pets, Luna and Link. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.

Memorial contributions should be directed to the family.

“Monica was one of my favorite faces to see pop into our home office for our trainings and meetings with our store employees. I met her shortly after beginning my career here and she was one of the friendliest and most welcoming souls I have ever met. She always kept you feeling like you have always belonged wherever she was. We are all in shock of her loss here at our home office and we will truly miss her so much. When she would come to the Earl May Home office for meetings, she was always a ray of sunshine in the fluorescent world that we here have to function in.
