She is survived by: her children, Brian Petersen (Karen) of Waterloo, Shelley Petersen of Waterloo and Cheryl Elliott of Henning', MN; her brother Paul Ackerman (Charlene) of Waterloo; and her grandchildren, Carissa Markuson (Brady), Zachary Reeves, Jamie Forsythe (Sarah), Joshua Petersen (Jess), Shane Petersen and Brad Petersen. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
