He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burke and Rita Burke (Hancock). He is survived by: his significant other Margaret Dolan Austin (Maggie); his stepchildren, Sabrina Wohlford (Ty) of Granger and Bil Austin (Brandi) of Knoxville, IA; his grandchildren, Olivia, Bradyn, Alex, Jake, Cheyenne, Ashley, Casie, Sarah, Shawn, Andy and Jerit; and his brothers-in-law, Denis Dolan (Karen), Brian Dolan (Ann), Rory Dolan (Rochelle), Jan Pratt-Jordan (Dee Jay) and Kelly Pechota (Jim). He is also survived by 20 Great-Grandchildren; Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 9:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (650 Stephan Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701).
