With sadness, we share the passing of Raymond Lee Garris (Waterloo, Iowa). Raymond, born on September 9, 1950, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin "Ben" Garris and Phelma Garris (Ellis); his sons, Tory and Travis; his siblings, Connie and Eddie; his nephews, Tim and Jeff; and his brother-in-law Tom.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Garris; his son Todd Garris (Michelle); his grandchildren, Jilian, Kylah and Keegan; and his brothers, Ronald Garris (Sharon) and Bobby Garris (Karen).
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Uaw Hall (2615 Washington St, Waterloo, IA 50702).
Memorial contributions may be directed in Ray's name to his family which will be later designated to St. Croix Hospice, Cedar Valley Food Bank and the American Cancer Society.
