With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Wells of Waterloo, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 29, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Richard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Richard's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Pierce and Patricia Wells (Miner); his stepfather Jerry Wells; and his brother Jack Schons. He is survived by: his wife Sue of Waterloo; his daughter Leslie Sarauer (Luke) of Evansdale; his granddaughter Linkin Sarauer of Evansdale; and his siblings, Jill (Dennis Cooley) of Red Lion, Jeff Pierce of Waukon, Greg Pierce (Denise) of Waterloo and Darcy Pierce of Calmar. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
