Robert Butler Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Butler (Waterloo, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 23, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bilbo Montgomery and Lauretta Butler; and his siblings, Claudia Montgomery, Elizabeth Montgomery, Henry L. Butler, Efonda Montgomery, Eugene, James and Gene Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Butler; his children, Ricky Butler (Shaunel) of Georgia, Anthony "Tony" Butler (Salisia) of Georgia, Robert "Lamont" Butler (Freda) of Georgia, Ricardo "Ric" Woods (Serice) of Waterloo, Carlos "Tonka" Woods of Waterloo and Shakelia Woods-Johnson (Mike) of Virginia; and his siblings, Rudolph "Rudy" Martin (Velma), Cheryl Kay Mosley of Waterloo and Deborah Johnson of Waterloo. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; three godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Tower Park (4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church (805 Adams St, Waterloo, IA 50703).
