It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert M. Treichel of Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Robert is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Robert's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Treichel and Charlotte Treichel (Klein); his wife Patricia Piaseki; and his sister Marie Treichel. He is survived by: his children, Samantha Ludwig (Ken) of Waterloo, Sandra Davis (Scott) of Independence, Joan Pietan (Jeff) of Waterloo, Jeremy Treichel (Marcia) of Clive, Shawn Treichel (Krissy) of Booneville, IN and Karisa Renner (Matthew) of Waterloo; his sister Catherine Treichel; and his nephew Tim Treichel. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service (400 South St, Waterloo, IA 50701).
