He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Treichel and Charlotte Treichel (Klein); his wife Patricia Piaseki; and his sister Marie Treichel. He is survived by: his children, Samantha Ludwig (Ken) of Waterloo, Sandra Davis (Scott) of Independence, Joan Pietan (Jeff) of Waterloo, Jeremy Treichel (Marcia) of Clive, Shawn Treichel (Krissy) of Booneville, IN and Karisa Renner (Matthew) of Waterloo; his sister Catherine Treichel; and his nephew Tim Treichel. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
