He was predeceased by: his father George W. Jr.; his brother Gerald; and his nephews, Michael Bengston and Nicholas Schares. He is survived by: his wife Linda Youngblut; his children, Karl Bengston (Michelle) of Waterloo, Amy Van Donsel (Mike) of Appleton, Wisc and Christopher Bengston of Kansas City; his grandchildren, Alyssa Phelps, Brynn Kruger (Mike), Brady Bengston, Linden Van Donsel and Mason Van Donsel; and his siblings, William Bengston (Cindy) of Waterloo and Karen Demuth (Robert) of Gilbertville.
