Rusty Smalley Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 19, 2026, at the age of 66, Rusty Smalley of Waterloo, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Smalley and Marjorie Smalley (Byam); his former wife Karen Landis; and his brother-in-law Robin Formaker. He is survived by: his children, Nicole Baier (Neil) of Grimes, Reece Smalley (Cindi) of Waterloo and Ryan Smalley of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Camdyn, Jace, Skyler and Savanna; his pet Royce; and his siblings, Ricky Smalley of Tulsa, Shirleen Formaker of Polk City, Rocky Smalley (Kristi) of Raymond and Randy Smalley (Cindy) of Stillwater. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
