She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Etta Caldwell; her husband Dan Dunlap; her sons, Michael Dunlap (Taryn) of Orion, IL and Adam Dunlap (Nacole Lamoureux) of Ankeny, IA; her grandsons, Ben, Will, Luke and Leo; her brothers, Larry Caldwell (Carolyn) of Stillwater, OK and Brian Caldwell (Lisa) of Mapleton, MN; her friend Judy Chase of Waterloo, IA.; her father William "Bill" Caldwell; and her sister Karen.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service West Ridgeway (300 West Ridgeway Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service (300 West Ridgeway Ave., Waterloo, IA 50701).
In lieu of flowers, Shirley's family invites memorials to be made to the MercyOne Foundation of Waterloo/Cedar Falls, or to the Preserve Our Park Fund at Arnold's Park, a place she dearly loved.
