Rebecca Kauten wrote a sympathy message

“Tammy was a consummate educator and lover of nature. I shall forever miss the times spent outdoors and the friendly conversations that always reinforced a bond of kindred spirits. Careers in nature in our part of the world are rife with challenges. Tammy was a stalwart advocate, kind instructor, and caring example of one who loved the world around us. She is already tremendously missed.”

Pam Wolter wrote a sympathy message

“I'm so very sad to hear the news of Tammy's death. What a devastating loss! My very deepest sympathies to her family and friends! Tammy first taught me about the importance of Monarch conservation many years ago when she was a naturalist in Bremer County. The world lost a conservation hero and educator! My thoughts are with you as you mourn this beautiful soul!”
