He is survived by: his parents, Ulanda Spates and Tina Biddle Spates; his children, TayShaun Spates of Arizona and Taveah Spates of Waterloo; his siblings, Shatoria "Toy" Spates, Kalisha "Kay" Spates and Tylandis "Man" Spates of Waterloo; his nephew TaeMarri Alford of Texas; his niece Amira Gilley of Waterloo; his grandparents, Cathy Biddle and Willie C. Biddle; and his great-grandparent Thelma Taylor' of Waterloo.
