She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Schmidt and Anna Schmidt (Brunscheon); her husband Wade Sterrett; her granddaughter Jennifer Sterrett; and her siblings, Floyd Schmidt and Darlys Schmitt.
She is survived by: her son Mark Sterrett (Cindy) of Athens, Alabama; her grandchildren, Penny, Krista, Eric (Carolyn) and Mark Jr.; and her brother Don Schmidt of Grundy Center. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren.
