She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Schmidt and Anna Schmidt (Brunscheon); her husband Wade Sterrett; her granddaughter Jennifer Sterrett; and her siblings, Floyd Schmidt and Darlys Schmitt.
She is survived by: her son Mark Sterrett (Cindy) of Athens, Alabama; her grandchildren, Penny, Krista, Eric (Carolyn) and Mark Jr.; and her brother Don Schmidt of Grundy Center. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories (965 Home Plaza, Waterloo, IA 50701). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (3430 W 4th St, Waterloo, IA 50701).
