He is survived by: his children, Susan Acklin (Paul Beccio) of Virginia, Steven Acklin of Grimes and Anthony Acklin (Kirstin Koestler) of Norwalk; and his grandchildren, Charles Beccio, Michael Beccio and Luna Acklin.
